The Internet reacts to Sulli's recent post about the abortion ban.
On April 11th, Sulli took to her Instagram to show her support for the end of South Korea's abortion ban. She posted a photo of flowers and captioned, "abortion crime abolished. It's an honorable day! Freedom to choose for all women."
Soon as Sulli updated her Instagram with the post, both followers and non-followers of hers have been flocking to her profile and expressed their arguments. A lot of Netizens have seen her post is indeed controversial.
The post is in regards to South Korea's lift on the abortion ban. On April 11th, the South Korean court ruled that the country's decades-old ban on abortion must be lifted. The nine-member panel ruled by seven to two that a 1953 law banning abortion was unconstitutional and ordered the national assembly to revise it by the end of next year.
While this is definitely a big win for pro-choice campaigners, not few do believe that the current law should still be applied. Under the current law, doctors who perform terminations can be imprisoned for up to two years, while women face a maximum one-year sentence or a fine of up to KRW 2 million (approximately USD1,750).
What do you think about this, ladies and gentlemen?
