A blossoming career, endorsements, a Miss Universe crown and even a steady lovelife; it sure looks like Pia Wurtzbach has it all these days.
But the Miss Universe 2015 admitted that life before the “crown” wasn’t at all easy breezy. Pia shared she went through a lot of struggles, including being financially broke.
With the upcoming Binibining Pilipinas pageant happening again this June, Pia motivated everyone to not be scared to dream big.
Pia told Push, “Just keep fighting on. Especially if you have a dream. I always think na kung meron kang vision, you’re already halfway to making it come true.”
“Because there’s nothing worse than not having a dream. If you have a dream, andoon ka na, so just keep working at it,” she added.
The beauty queen recalled the times when she stumbled her way through the Binibini despite the critics.
Pia said, “Guys, hindi ko rin akalain na mangyayari sa akin ito. Like if you go back a few years ago, natatalo ako sa Binibini tapos wala akong pera, nahirapan ako. Pero lumalaban ako.”
Pia added it’s always surprising where life may take us, but what’s important is we are focused on achieving our dreams.
She said, “I kept fighting on and then I won Miss Universe and then this happened to me and it goes to show that you really don’t know where life can take you.”
“So my advice to everyone is just keep looking forward and keep going forward. Don’t get distracted so much by things around you. Focus on your dream. Dapat laser focus,” Pia added.
Last March, Pia admitted being excited and happy as she finally moves into her own new house. She marked it as an important milestone in her life to be able to have a place of her own.
