He was charged in April after he was reportedly spotted using his phone while driving in Great Portland Street last November.

The case was initially supposed to take place last month but was postponed until today when Beckham confirmed his attendance.

A court staff member had said the case was listed on the court system as 'to attend for disqualification'. adding: "Although it is listed as 'to attend for disqualification' we don't know if he has enough points for disqualification. We don't know if he does have enough points to be classed as a totter."
